Caution when visiting hospitals
Every hospital in the word has very limited and strict visiting hours for those relatives, friends, colleagues, well wishers and whoever wishes to visit patients while they are in hospital. Most hospitals also inform whoever is visiting patients; not to bring flowers or other such gifts and also restrict in bringing children who are below a certain age..png)
Admitted
It is not very often that I get admitted at the Hospital. However, my family and me have always consulted doctors at the hospital and have had mixed experiences. Last month, due to an unfortunate incident, my immediate family members and a few of my relatives had to be admitted in the hospital for different amounts of time.
Open letter to medical practitioners
Research conducted suggests that low bone density, particularly in postmenstrual women, may indicate the need for treatment to reduce the risk of hip and spine fractures. The earlier bone’s loss is detected, the sooner the treatment can be initiated to halt the bone loss. Bone density measurements can evaluate response to that we know whether the prescribed treatment is effective or if we need to modify the approach.

Executive Management Board
The Board of Directors of ADK Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. established an Executive Management Board (EMB) for ADK Hospital. The aim of this new structure is to strengthen the governance mechanism of the Hospital and its operations. The EMB will in future pass resolutions on the main governance and policy issues of the Hospital, which in turn will be implemented in the process of management.Misu Mayumi arigatōgozaimasu
Two years back, ADK Hospital welcomed the first volunteer nurse, through a collaboration project with JOCV. The Japanese nurse, Mayumi sister spent the past two years, with the Hospital. She has completed her tenure and is set to leave the country to go back to Japan. It has been a great experience for the ADK Hospital’s Nursing Department to have her here.
Workshop on breast feeding practices for health professionals
ADK Hospital will collaborate with Addu City council to conduct a workshop of breast feeding practices for health professionals working in the province. The workshop will be held on 29 September 2012 at Addu City Hall. This collaboration is an effort by the ADK Hospital's paediatric department and the Addu Health Services.

A short-term training on managerial excellence and client oriented service delivery was conducted for the staff of ADK hospital this year.
