Biography
My name is Dr. Kiran Niraula. I was born on 20th December, 1983 in a village in Eastern part of Nepal. I completed O levels (class 12) from prestigious St. Xavier's College, Kathmandu in 2003. I did my MBBS from Hebei Medical University in the year 2009 and completed internship in 2010. Getting NOMA scholarship from Norway Government though Oslo University, Norway I did MPhil Public Health (Epidemiology and Biostatistics major) between 2010-2012 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. During this period I got training in George Washington University, Washington DC, USA as a visiting research fellow. In 2012 I sat for entrance examination in Pakistan and got admission with full at scholarship at King Edward Medical University, Pakistan and completed MS (Neurosurgery) in 2018. I came back to Nepal and opened a Neuro-department in a hospital in my home district. In April, 2019 I joined ADK as consultant Neurosurgeon
Areas of Clinical Expertise and Interest:
Area of my interests are Minimal invasive spine surgery, Chiari Malformation, Neuro-trauma, Strokes and Neuro-rehabilitation when it comes to Neurosurgery. In terms of my Public health interests my areas of expertise are Biostatsitics, Research Methodology, Bioethics and Epidemiology
