ADK School of Health Sciences was established in 2010 and has evolved into one of the Maldives’ premier institutions for healthcare education and clinical training. In 2023, the institute was rebranded as Shafi’a Institute of Health (SIH) to reflect its growing scope and commitment to high-quality health education. Situated within ADK Hospital in Malé, the largest private hospital with over 37 years of experience in health care delivery has over 150 inpatient beds and the nation’s only provider of certain subspecialty medical services, Shafi’a Institute of Health (SIH) offers a uniquely immersive learning environment.
As the educational arm of this leading healthcare institution, SIH delivers a comprehensive range of short-term and long-term training programs, including certificate courses, undergraduate education, and clinical placements. The institute is registered and recognized by the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA), ensuring that all its programs adhere to nationally approved standards of academic and professional excellence. SIH plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare workforce by developing specialized, job-ready professionals through continuous education, skills enhancement, and practical experience embedded in real-world healthcare settings
