Dr. Hussain Shakeel

Dr. Hussain Shakeel is one of the Maldives' most experienced and renowned orthopaedic surgeons, with extensive expertise in orthopaedic trauma, sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, and joint replacement. Following his medical education in Bangladesh, he completed his master's degree and fellowship training in Malaysia, with additional advanced training in South Korea, Thailand, and India. Dr. Shakeel is recognized as a pioneer of sports injury management and arthroscopic surgery in the Maldives. He previously served as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at the country's main government referral hospital and has also served as President of both the Maldivian Medical Association and the Maldives Orthopaedic Association.
