The program includes a theory component and a practical component. At a time, batches of 30 staff are trained and over the coming months, the Hospital aims to conduct the program for all the staff of the Hospital.
As part of the improvements n the operations quality of the Hospital, this fire safety program will help to ensure improved safety of the patients and also the staff in the institution.
In addition to the fire safety-training program, the hospital will train and appoint a Fire safety officer and develop a Fire and Life Safety Standard and related protocols for future implementation. This initiative will help the hospital to meet required international fire and life safety standards that are required for hospital quality evaluation and accreditation.
In future, the hospital plans to continue many more programs related to occupational health and safety as well as safety at work to ensure that staff welfare is a priority at the Hospital. All staff are encouraged to proactively participate in these programs in order to create a safe working environment.
