As part of the initiations from ADK Hospital to bring Cancer Services to the Maldives, a CME was held by the Hospital for doctors and nurses and other related professionals on 3rd February 2015. The CME was conducted by Dr KVVN Raju, Senior Surgical Oncologist at Indo American Cancer Hospital. Dr Raju is has 20 years of experience in the field of cancer surgery.
The CME was on emerging trends in surgical oncology, focussing mainly on minimally invasive surgical techniques in moders cancer surgeries. It was a very informative and educative consultation and had benefited the participants in uderstanding the facilities available for cancer related surgeries.
More than seventy professionals from the sector, including local surgeons, internists, general practicioners as well as other paramedical profssionals participated in this education program.
