Qualification & Experience

·Diploma/Degree in related field

·Should have minimum 2 years’ experience in related field

·Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills

·Able to work on shift duties / on call

Main Responsibilities

·Hyperbaric technician undertakes Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Hyperbaric Decompression Therapy for patients, monitor the chamber during use, monitor the patient during therapy, do daily maintenance of the unit and contribute to training and guidance to patients on therapies provided.

·Perform basic clinical preventative maintenance and minor technical trouble shooting, machine disinfection and cleaning.

·Establish, maintain, document and report on infection control and quality measures within the unit.

·Assess working condition, monitoring and operation of essential equipment associated with Hyperbaric therapies.

·Pre-therapy assessment and monitoring of patients.

·Monitoring of patients while undergoing hyperbaric therapy using standard monitoring charts and tools used in the unit.

·Complete the cycle of treatment as prescribed and implementing changes as directed by the medical team.

·Post-therapy assessment and monitoring of each patient.

·Assessment, monitoring, identification and management of complications during therapy according to protocols and with the guidance of the medical team.

·Identify and report on patient’s clinical needs and when needs are outside scopes of Hyperbaric technician, seeking involvement and opinion of appropriate health professionals.
